Active After School Program

What it’s all about

The College runs a two afternoon a week sports oriented program for primary students after school. Afternoon tea and a fun filled physical program are on offer free of charge.

The Active After-School program is a free Australian Government initiative delivered nationally by the Australian Sports Commission. It provides primary school students (PP-6) at The King’s College with the opportunity to experience a variety of different sports and other structured physical activities.

Great outcomes

Through the Active After-Schools program, children and their families are discovering the benefits of happy, healthy and active lifestyles. We are engaging children in sport, and delivering fun and free physical activity in a safe environment. This initiative is inspiring children, their families and coaches to extend their involvement in sport.

Which sports are included

In 2012 the sports in this program included Australian Rules, Netball and Soccer. We intend to expand this to include further sports in 2013.
