Camps and Trips

Camps and excursions are the favourite part of school life for many of our students. The King’s College offers a range of outings to its students. We believe in the value they bring not only to enhancing learning, but also to equip and train our students for life beyond our school doors. With this in mind we organise day outings, camps, excursions, interstate trips and overseas trips.

Years 1 – 6

Each primary year student gets the opportunity to visit to local areas of educational interest on day trips. These are tailored to suit the curriculum and can be as diverse as a visit to the Perth Zoo, a day in Fremantle examining local history, touring the Fremantle Prison or conducting experiments at SciTech.

Years 7 – 8

Year 7 & 8 students attend a camp early in their year as part of their orientation to secondary school. The destination is carefully chosen to provide maximum opportunities for team building and learning in an outdoor environment.

Day trips throughout the year are related to the subjects being studied and include  visits to Scitech, the Desalination Discovery Centre, Perth Museum etc.

Years 9 – 12

Our upper school students are given opportunity to participate in team building days such as the Vertical Challenge day at Woodman Point. The purpose of these is to challenge students and build their confidence through activities that stretch their limits and purposefully build teamwork skills.
