The Kings College is a College that explores and celebrates the Christian faith. Having said that, students from different faith and non-faith backgrounds are welcome to attend the College.
Foundation for life
Throughout their schooling years at the King’s College, students will explore the hope of the Christian faith and be encouraged to adopt biblical values such as love and respect for others, kindness, honour and similar values. We believe that this provides students with the best possible foundation for life and gives them the greatest opportunity to reach their potential and lead lives of significance.
Our Chaplaincy program is an integral part of our Christian emphasis. Our Chaplain, Pastor James Alviani has been a Chaplain for 9 years with experience working at two schools prior to his current position at The Kings College. His role is to be a support person and mentor figure who the students can access for support, encouragement and deeper ‘meaning of life’ questions.
Primary School Chapel: Alternate Fridays at 9.15am
Secondary School Chapel: Alternate Thursday’s at 9.15am
Parents are invited to join our Chapel Services, which are run once a fortnight in the auditorium.
They include a time of praise and worship music performed by the student band, followed by a time where Ps James shares a scriptural thought or biblical value for the students to consider. Chapel times are always engaging and uplifting, giving the students an opportunity to take a break from normal school routine, to explore faith and life matters.
Ps James is available to students and parents as a listening ear to assist with the issues that emerge through the course of life. Issues such as grief, conflict resolution, loneliness and anger management are common topics. Ps James works with staff members and parents to form a collaborative approach to ensure each student is cared for.
Ps James manages our Prefect Program, which involves student leadership training and management, along with giving the students a voice in College life.
