The King’s College has a steadfast commitment to use music and the arts to reach, touch and impact people from all walks of life.

One of our most recent initiatives is the marvellous Community Choir. TKC partners with UWA Conservatorium of Music to deliver this fun and engaging program in both Kwinana and the City.

We’ve just run this with The City of Kwinana at The Darius Wells Community Centre for seven weeks and now we are hosting it at the UWA Campus for their staff.

What a privilege to be able to bring a positive message through song and collaboration across our city.

Recent studies have shown music as a powerful tool in developing camaraderie, levels of trust and boldness within groups of people working together. Scientific studies into the health benefits of singing also support these outcomes citing physical, mental, emotional and social benefits.

Our Director of Music Pastor Michael Battersby and Sarah Janet Brittenden (Manager of The UWA Conservatorium of Music) lead this wonderful program and hope to get even more people singing and connecting in the coming months.

Dates for the next series in Kwinana are: July 24th – Sept 4th.

Everyone is welcome……experts, novices and people who’d just like to have a go. Come and SING FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!
